The English Patient
Grand and sweeping a new side to an old war. Well acted well told story.
Mr.Bean - Not quite as biting as the British TV series. Maybe thinned a bit for Americans and kids. But worthwhile never the less.
Fargo - Good movie well acted. I seem to be liking female protagonists these days.
QUOTES

Books -
"Far Tortuga" by Peter Matthiessen, Pure prose hard to get into but worth every bit. A piece of Literature that is worthy of any classic theme. Maybe a triumph for editing. apparently the author doesn't care for it. It is a must for anybody who loves the caribbean or prose.

Music - Jazz, Classical,Folk, 60's rock.
The older I get the more I like Jazz. I love the usual all stars like Nat Adderly and Cannonball, John Coltrane, Paul Desmond and Brubeck and Monk and of course Miles. But I have found some unusual bands like The Jazz at the Movies Band which has out a bunch of CDs like "White Heat" which is all Film Noire sound tracks like Blackboard Jungle and This Gun For Hire and Laura. Great Stuff. Also When a Man Loves A Woman and Others.
I used to hang out with Cannonball back in the late 60s and early 70's. I am still friends with Nat.
